Hi everyone,

Quick question. I used BDRebuilder to compress and then burned using ImgBurn onto a Verbatim BD-R LTH Type 25GB disc this morning and it won't load onto my Samsung BD-C6500 1080p Blu-ray Disc Player. Can anyone help me figure out why it is not working? I made sure to get good discs and downloaded/installed all the most recent tools to use with BDRebuilder (and rebooted :) ). Read something about using the AVCHD Patcher but not sure where to find this file. Please be gentle here! not a techie, just trying to figure things out :)

Thanks in advance.

Hi! BD-R LTH

It's been posted here and at many other forums that "LTH" ("Low To High") Blu-ray media do not play on MANY players. Yours may be one of them...

I just looked that issue up and found a list from Verbatim that has my player on it as one that actually does play that media. Thanks for having me check that though so now I know for sure on that topic.

maybe you should have been more precise than "it won't load on my player" ;)

Well, I'm not sure how to be more precise than to say to it won't load except maybe to say it can't read it. It tries to load the disc in and then ejects it after about a minute. It's a full backup and it seems that every time I do a full backup instead of movie only, it doesn't read the disc.

Use real BD discs. They are just as inexpensive as LTH and they aren't a prescription for failure.

When I did a series of tests on [older] players, there were messages on screen, like Unsupported disk, Unsupported format, Disk unreadable, Unknown disk etc. Very rare a BD player rejected a disk without any info.
These messages helped people understanding where the error would be.

So, just to be clear, you are able to make "movie only" backups, using BDRB and LTH discs, and they play fine on your Samsung player. But "full disc" backups don't work. And this is repeatable behaviour?
