I've always said that tv cards hardly make a difference when calibrated, when capturing uncompressed. So now here is a screenshot of two cards with the same signal, in s-video, and with levels approximately matched.
I would say the top one looks better, however I believe the difference can be explained by a driver difference. I think the chroma is shifted on the 2nd one which makes the colorbar transitions look bad. These are just preliminary results.
The capture window is slightly larger on the first one. All settings were fresh-install defaults. I didn't match sharpness controls. Level matching was by script and only approximate.
