Hi,

I am remuxing some MKV's with ac3 audio so that they can be played in itunes. So i am converting the AC3 audio to aac using eac3to. Just using the command "eac3to <ac3> <aac>"

The problem i am having is that on some of my ac3 files the generated aac file is completely the wrong length at least 3 or 4 times longer than the AC3 file. I have no idea what causes this or what i can do about it.

The ac3 files plays fine.

Thanks in advance for your idea's

Buzz

You might try using the Nero 7 decoder if you haven't already.

You could also try to decode your AC3 file to Wave with Valdec (http://lamexp.git.sourceforge.net/git/gitweb.cgi?p=lamexp/lamexp;a=blob_plain;f=res/tools/valdec.exe;hb=HEAD) from the AC3 Filter Tools package. Then throw the resultung Wave file on your favorite AAC encoder.
