Hi,
yesterday I tried to encode Shrek unsing DivX 4.12 2-pass.
I ripped the DVD with SmartRipper.
The DVD is in 16:9, PAL, progressiv.
I set Xmpeg 4.2a to resize to 576, cropped the black bars.
No Audio conversion. I prefer to do the Audio seperatly.
My problem now:
The DivX file as playback problems at the beginning of the movie.
The Dreamworks-Into is ok, when "switching" to the real movie, the picture gets blocks and hangs several times, until the "in-move-into" (where all the names of the artits are listed) is finished. The hangs and bad pictures appear, every scene-change.
After that intro all is fine. No hangs, no blocks.
I noticed, that Xmpeg says the dreamworks-intro is interlaced, while the rest of the movie is progressive. If that is causing the problem, can I start encoding after the interlaced part?
And additionally at two scenes in the movie, for a few seconds the movie slows down while the sound goes on normally. Than the movie and the sound are not in sync for a few second, till the movie speeds up a bit and "catches" the sound, so the movie is in sync again.
This happens two times in the whole movie, and it is reproducable. It always happens at the same two positions.
I did a reboot of my machine and did the conversion again, and again the same effects.
Anyone any Idea?
