Hope you have better luck than I have had canete. If you look down the posts you'll see error #0004. I also received error #0003 along with 0004. You would not be running Avast by any chance would you? That is the only new installation I have made.

canete, since we both are running XP and are having the same error then it is likely it may be a software conflict, that is why I asked if you are running Avast.

Every time I have seen investigated that error it has turned out to be a corrupt source. So in my mind it is reasonable to assume it is the case this time also.

I dont understand what you mean by a corrupt source. Are you saying it is the DVD itself, the ripper, or something else that is causing this. I have used 3 different movies, 2 different rippers, and uninstalled the software that I had before this problem started. I would really like some suggestions on how to solve it. I have researched it and found out that this was a common problem with one of the earlier version. Thanks.

@NOKNOT
Try performing a System Restore back to the last time things were working properly for you...

Thanks setarip_old but the problem with that is I have had alot of automatic updates since then and if by some chance that did fix it then who is to say that once the updates are installed again I wont have the same problems. Also I dont like to use restores, never had much luck with it,it has always messed other things up for me.
I would still like for someone to explain to me what they mean by a corrupt source. Besides the different DVDs and different rippers, I have also tried two different drives. How do you get a corrupt source?

How do you get a corrupt source?Any number of ways, including (but not limited to):
1) Using other than a legitimate, commercial Blu-ray disc as your initial source material (The most frequent reason that I've observed at this and other forums).
2) A physically damaged original Blu-ray disc
3) A dirty original Blu-ray disc
4) Incorrect/Less than perfect ripping by ripping program (AnyDVD, DVDFab etal, MakeMKV, DVDShrink, DVD Decrypter, etc.)
5) An overheated system
6) An overclocked system
7) A virus
**EDIT**Please change all references from "Blu-ray" to "DVD"

Thanks setarip for your help. I can dismiss all of what you have mentioned except overclocked, really dont know what that means. I will however research and find out.

We are talking about DVD Rebuilder, not BD Rebuilder, aren't we?
There are a lot of posts here @doom9 for this topic. This one is about avast:
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=155363&highlight=buffer+overflow+rebuilder
This one also sounds interessting:
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=132659&highlight=buffer+overflow+rebuilder
From the DVD-RB version history:
- Corrected an error in which source filenames that are a mixture of uppercase/lowercase letters might cause "Error 0003, buffer overflow".
- Found and corrected a cause of Error #0003 and #0004. This should fix most reports associated with these errors. Note: Remember some are caused by invalid source files.
- Made a timing correction that may affect possible audio dropouts. It also may reduce (but not eliminate) the liklihood of encountering an error #0003 or #0004 on preprocessed (3rd party edited) streams.

Thanks ggtop, the one about Avast fixed the problem. The only reason Im running Avast is because I got a free years subscription. Thanks again I really appreciate it.
