Is there a one-click way to convert an NTSC DVD to PAL. Ideally menus should work correctly.

Is there a one-click way to convert an NTSC DVD to PAL.One-click, No - BUT:

(Reverse all "PAL to NTSC" references)

For kicks and giggles, you might want to read my postings in the following thread (Despite the warnings posted by others, I attained very acceptable results):

http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=115963

The only specific I didn't mention in that thread is - In IFOEdit, open "VTS_01_0.IFO" and in "VTS Overview", change "Menu Attributes" to "NTSC". Save BOTH .IFO and .BUP (Although the IFOEdit screen will then look like it is still set to "PAL", it's not. Just load the revised "VIDEO_TS.IFO" into IFOEdit to see that this is true). Repeat this procedure for each Title...

I assume you know that NTSC discs work perfectly in the vast majority of European players, provided that there is no region code. Unless you have a specific reason for performing such a conversion, I would say that it is a waste of time.

P.S. I think The FilmMachine might be able to do this for you, but I have never used it, so you will have to try it and see.

I'm trying to make this conversion exactly because the NTSC disc doesn't play in a European player.

There are many programs (one-click or almost one-click) which can do standards conversion. Even ffmpeg or Mencoder can do this (qualitity is not so good IMO). AVStoDVD even gives you the choice between PAL speedup or DGPulldown.

The problem is always the menu. To the best of my knowledge there is no software out there which which will automatically do a standard conversion for menues.

You have a bad player or you're trying to play a disc with a region coding in a player that is not multi-regional.
