Hi, I'm going to create a DVD containing several episodes from a series.
In order to achieve an optimal compression I will compress them together (using HCenc) in a huge single m2v file while specifying chapters also and then separate them and mux with audio.
Now, is "CLOSEDGOPS" useful for this?
In fact, what I will next do is cut the episodes at gop boundaries, so is this option useful? What does it add in details?
Thank you.
Edit: well, after googling a little I know what a "closed gop" mean, for example I read Final Cut Pro puts closed gops (even if not specified) at chapter markers in order to easily chop them. Does HCenc do the same?
