View Full Version : DVD Rebuilder issue - No audio on 3/4 of my video sets

I did a search on my issue and couldn't find anything. I apologize in advance if this is a newbie question.

I've been using DVD Rebuilder and recently I have been only getting audio on the first of my four video sets once the process is finished. The last 3 VOBs don't have any audio.

It doesn't matter what encoder I use, and I've tried several different DVD's. It was working perfectly for a while, and now it doesn't work at all.

Is this part of the freeware limitations?

This has been driving me crazy and I really hope someone can offer some suggestions. TIA

You can choose which audio stream to keep in DVD Rebuilder.
You can set your preferences which is default then but you can also make custom settings for every single DVD.

It also seems that you mix with the terminology.
A video title set is e.g. VTS_01_*.vob which has 2 domains: menu domain (VTS_01_0.vob) and title domain (VTS_01_1.vob up to VTS_01_9.vob).

You say that you don't have audio on the last 3 video sets.
What you you mean? No audio in VTS_02_1.vob, VTS_03_1.vob and VTS_04_1.vob but in VTS_01_*.vob? Or no audio in VTS_01_2.vob, VTS_01_3.vob and VTS_01_4.vob and you do have audio in VTS_01_1.vob?

BTW Where do you play the DVD? Did you burn and test on a stand alone?

I guess you removed audio tracks in the DVD Rebuilder setup accidently and forgot to remap the missing stream to an existing one. Look for that!

Thank you for responding, I did mix up the terminology, for the last DVD I tried - I have audio in VTS_02_1.VOB, but no audio in VTS_02_2.VOB, no audio in VTS_02_3.VOB, and no audio in VTS_02_4.VOB.

I did burn a test DVD and played it in a stand alone player, and the audio cuts out after the first 1/2 hour or so, which is the problem.

I assume you're talking about the general setup, and the section that reads "Audio to REMOVE," - I made sure I didn't have any audio tracks removed in the DVD Rebuilder setup.

I'm still going a little crazy over this issue, I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I'll be honest -- I can't see how that is even possible within DVD-RB. Have you preprocessed the source through some other software first?

I haven't processed the source through other software, and I've made sure the audio is in tact before I use DVD Rebuilder.

It is really bizarre, but something must be screwed up on the tower that I have been trying this on.

I downloaded DVD Rebuilder onto my Windows XP laptop and processed the same DVD last night and it came out perfect with audio on every VOB.

I can't even imagine what has happened on my tower where this audio problem is happening, could it be some registry mess? I uninstalled the program, and reinstalled it fresh. It's a very weird problem. But a very real one which is keeping me from using DVD Rebuilder on this tower.
