Adding Logo to Video

Hi there, I'm having trouble finding a way to put a logo onto the encoded video I'm making. Flaskmpeg can do this using the AVI plugin, but I find it also seriously desync's the audio.

Does anyone have a workaround, or another way of doing this? I've done alot of searching and have found no real alternative. Thanks,

Hey there,

There is a tried and tested way of adding a logo to a movie/anime

but u cant use Flask u have to use Nandub SBC and the logo filter

It works really well and the quality once u get to know how to use nandub is much higher than Flask but it is a lot harder to learn how to use and takes a lot of practice....

2. that software must rencode your video files to add a logo which is unaceptable as you will loose quality, Its better to use a avisynth script or a vdub filter to add a logo to a video during the encoding process.

Referring someone to commercial software is not prohibited, as long as it does not become spam. This was a response to a specific request for functionality, so it is not spam.

neuron PLEASE look at the date of the orginal thread this is indeed an advert for there software as i am sure that dynamix is not still waiting for a response to his query.

I personally think it would have been more honest to start a new thread if he wanted to let people know instead of pretending to be helping somone out 3 1/2 Years Later.

how can i add a logo to an avi video, without losing quality
ie i want exactly tha same file, just with tha addition of tha logo
u see, i am a newbi with virtual dub, and i don't know how exactly to use it
i tried it with tha filter u just showed me, and it was perfect when i was previewing it, but when i tried to save, it didn't work tha way i wanted it
i tried it with 10.5 mb .avi file, but my out put was 401 mb!!!
then i tried to do "direct stream copy", i got a 10.6 mb .avi file which is good, but tha logo wasn't shown :confused:

so how can i do it with "direct stream copy", but with tha addition of tha filter (tha logo)

and is there a way, that i can store this new filter to virtual dub, without locating it and loading it every time

You need to re-encode the video by selecting a compressor under Video/Compression. Try using the same codec as the original file and with the same bitrate. The quality loss will be small.

i mean i want it to be tha same file and tha same codecs and tha same quality, etc...

But my Logo filter does not do that. It's best to apply it at the original encoding time.

actualy, i didn't realy try it yesterday properly
but when i tried it today for only tha first 2 minutes of a 700 avi file movie (as i aborted tha processor), i realised that tha loose of quality is kind of theoratical, and tha out put with tha logo as far as i sow, is exactly tha same quality as tha input

and about tha programs, that i heard that it can add a logo to a video without a lose of quality is ulead video studio 9

If your source is dvd you can add a logo by using subpictures
you need to stop them from being turned off by the user, subtitle workshop has a neat function to creat subtitle animations, it wont be a "proper" logo but you wont have to reencode the whole dvd again

If you're talking about the famous VirtualDub popup about VBR audio, please search in the VirtualDub forum or go to http://forums.virtualdub.org/. It's been covered ad nauseum.

Stop using txt speak and bad English. Many people find it a hinderance.
