Cinema Craft Encoder v2.5...Error Message

Hi

I have tried DVD2SVCD the first time.
I run it on 98se.....Cinema Craft Encoder SP 2.50 is installed,and of course I have klicked the right Path in DVD2SVCD.

I have tried 2 different DVDs,but with both DVDs it´s the same:
When it loads the Cinema Craft Encoder.....it begans to encode for a few minutes....and then....it gives me a Error Message..."CCE encoding failed:Error: Video check-sum is different from that of previous Pass.Source Video Data or Timecode may be different.Please check Videotape or the information file....."

Any Ideas???

Can you tell me where you found the solution to the Timecode error on CCE? i.e "CCE encoding failed:Error: Video check-sum is different from that of previous Pass.Source Video Data or Timecode may be different.Please check Videotape or the information file....."

I have searched the newbie and FAQ sections but I cannot find it. Has the link moved? I can't find Q&A #27 either.

Any info would be appreciated.

This patch will NOT work if you have already patched your copy of CCE. Just to let you know.

Make sure you delete all the temporary files in the folder where DVD2SVCD keeps all it's stuff. This is the error you get when you change the video source after creating a VAF file and then try to encode using the old VAF.

Thanks for the info.

I have previously patched the CCE 2.50 and cleared out the directory the that DVD2SCVD uses. The error still occurs.

If I upgrade from one version of DVD2SVCD to another do I need to re-patch CCE 2.5? I would assume not, unless DVD2SVCD does something with the patch.

Any ideas?

Can't see any reason why you'd have to repatch CCE. Unless it's one of the matrix pathes

Personally I have only ever had CCE do this once and it was when I let D2S get past the .vaf stage and then killed everything off to do something else. The next day I fired everything up from crash recovery and told it to use the existing .vaf and I got that message. I simple started from crash recover and told it not to use the existing .vaf and everything work fine.

I had done this before within the same day and not got an error, so I assumed that the .vaf file being a different date had upset it, but I'm probably wrong. I just assumed it because I've only seen the error once and I've only picked up on a backup the next day that same time.

I also have had problems with this occasionally, for no apparent reason, doing everything the same, usually successful, using more passes, higher image quality priority, and or anti-noise filter seems to make crash more likely? I have applied CRC patch, it does not seem to help. Aussie says patch will not work if cce has been patched before, does this mean that if ANY patch has been previously applied, that it will not work? it reports success when applied

The "patch" that I used is from Tiadikrax for version 2.50.01.00. It works perfectly but when I try to apply any other"patch" it wont let me. I can not vouch for any other patches..sorry mate.
