For the longest time, in order to play Avisynth scripts in Media Player Classic (and MPC-HC), I would install Xvid and that would provide the codec needed to decode Avisynth video.
I used a rather old version of Xvid to get this to work: 1.1.3 from 2007. I recently downloaded and installed version 1.3.2, but Avisynth scripts fail to render in Media Player Classic with the newer version of Xvid installed. I get an error that a pin was unable to be rendered "Avi Decompressor::XForm Out".
So, now, I'm stuck between using an out of date version of Xvid to continue viewing Avisynth scripts in Media Player Classic or having the newest version of Xvid without being able to play back Avisynth scripts.
Playback of Avisynth video is quite important to me, so I was wondering if there is a specific codec that people use for playback of Avisynth scripts in media player classic.
