Im using windows media player 11 on windows vista and Im having a problem.

Everytime I encode a video and mux it with mkvmerge then try to play it back, the audio plays but not the video. But if I scroll to the end of the video and it restarts from the beginning after going all the way through once then it plays just fine. the video and audio both work.

Why am I having to scroll to the end of the video so it restarts from the beginning to make it work properly?

When I play other MKV files that werent encoded or made by me they work just fine the first time but my mkv files have to be scrolled to the end so that they restart from the beginning.

whats up here??

I don't use WMP but since it seems to be related to video, are you setting the FPS on the video stream explicitly?

Hi!

Are you selecting "Append" rather than "Add"?

No I havent made any selections or set a specific framerate in mkvmerge. The video is 23.976 fps already. I have no need to change it.

Re-encode from the original source files.
