Hey guys, been doing a ton of video encoding lately.
I upgraded my Q6600 3.6ghz to a i7 2600K 4.6ghz just to get these jobs done faster.
MeGUI always uses all my cores 100% load the entire duration of x264 compression but suddenly in the last 2 or 3 minor revision thats were released in the last week or so I noticed big cpu usage fluctuation where it drops all the way down to 40-80% and then back up again randomly at regular increments.
I have not changed any of my encoding settings, was the last x264 update the cause?
My CPU temps are like 55C and nothing is looking wrong, I can easily 100% my cpu with wprime or prime95 or something to make sure the computer is fine.
Any incite is appreciated.
