right order denoising and downsizing vice versa

Hi all!

I want make slide show from scanned negatives. Images have size near 2000x3000 pixels.
I need before downsizing using denoiser or vice versa?
Or if I am using Spline64Resize i can not worry about aliasing and make denoising after?
Please advice.

IMHO denoise before any additional processing - for denoising i recommend using free PS plug-in from Ximagic http://www.ximagic.com/d_index.html also very nice plugin is http://registry.gimp.org/node/11742 and this one http://registry.gimp.org/node/4235

I can only confirm - particularly NLM denoising is useful - check also wavelet decomposition plugin - almost dreaming on similar plugin for AviSynth - reduce only particular frequency layer looks very nice
