Create VDub filter without using VC?

Hi,

Is there a known way to create a filter for Virtualdub, where I do not need software I have to pay for, maybe using gcc?

I do have cygwin installed, but I believe it's a bad idea to build using cygwin gcc....

Freepascal would be great, because I'm more familiar with Delphi. :)

Mh, forget it.
I don't need it any more.
I found a solution to my problem: applying a filter only to some of the frames: use blend.
And I found a Delphi translation of the old VDub Filter api. The link is dead. But maybe I can get the sources.
