It is getting time for me to again contribute to your fine work on BR-Rebuilder. I am beyond pleased with your project. I did however want to ask one question:
How does VSO BluRay to DVD Converter compare to BR-Rebuilder? What are just a few of the differences?
I have zero issues with BR - Rebuilder, just want to try to better understand the competition.

That's borderline spam and also in the wrong forum. Please watch your step because you skate on thin ice here.

If you will check, I have contributed two times to the project. Granted it is only about $50, but wow, what a response. My query was really just a question. I hope jdobbs understands that I really believe in supporting the small but important work done by individuals and not large corporations. My mistake for mentioning the name of another big business, but it was just a question. I do not support big companies such as VSO. They have all the money they need. It is people like jdobbs that are the heros. I hope any reply will not be negative to my intentions. A better route may have been that you do not comment on anyone elses products.

Probably 99% so called "Blu-ray to ..." converters are nothing but ffmpeg with different gui. Most of them don't even mention that their software is powered by free ffmpeg libraries. You should newer pay for that. If you want shrink BD then use BD-rebuilder or ripbot264 (both are free obviously)

Thank you Atak_Snajpera. Nicely put and I am grateful for the insight.

IMO this remark is completely unwarranted. OK the guy posted in the wrong forum, so why didn't you just be helpful and moved his post instead of intimidating and threatening him? His question is completely legitimate. VSO is a French company which has been around for a very long time, and they enjoy a solid reputation here in Europe. And discussing the differences between similar software is common practice in this forum (CCE vs. ProCoder vs. HC, or Scenarist vs. DVDLab Pro and so on).
@Atak_Snajpera
Using ffmpeg in commercial software is in no way illegal (LGPL). And if you provide added value above the core ffmpeg functions then I see no reason why a company cannot ask for money for their software.
sharjohn asked for BlueRay to DVD conversion in his first post, and as much as I understand you advertising your own software, has ripbot264 suddenly acquired the ability to convert BD to DVD?
@sharjohn
BD-Rebuilder's main function is to convert BDs to AVCHD which can be burned on DVD blanks and played on BlueRay players (if they support AVCHD). It also has the ability to convert BDs to real DVDs, but this feature has been added to BD-Rebuilder much later.
You should really compare the two programs for yourself. This is easy enough since VSO offers trial versions of its software.
To see how the VSO company compares their product against the competition have a look here:
