View Full Version : Adding Quicktime Closed Captions?

A feature film I worked on just got picked up for distribution, which is awesome. The distributor requested an uncompressed QuickTime (blech) master, which is easy enough to supply.

The difficult part is that they require it to be closed captioned (not subtitled).

I've been trying to to find a way to add closed captions to a QuickTime file on Windows without buying expensive software, but I haven't had any luck.

Does Doom9 (the collective forum) know of any inexpensive (preferably free) Windows software to perform this task?

We have no problem with typing out all the dialog and timecode, it's simply a matter of putting it in a Quicktime file that has me stumped.

Thanks in advance!

Can't they author it with separate files, provided the timing is accurate?
