Hi,
I'm having an audio sync problem, and have tinkered with it long enough--time to ask the experts. I'm only trying to do some basic NTSC quality capture to alleviate space on my DVR, using an "EasyCAP" USB grabber and sound through my sound card.
Long-story short, the Ulead software that came with it seems to work fine, and i can do post-processing just fine with Virtualdub. However, it's clear that there are more options (though more than i know what to do with) and features that i'd like to take advantage of in Virtualdub (mostly command-line options and cropping that apparently needs to be done).
In any case, if i turn OFF all timing options, it appears fine but with about a 1 second delay. I attempted to capture a 90 min movie and then processed it using the "skew correction" at 1000, but it gradually got de-sync'd. I'm fine with doing it post-capture--and it seems like that's best to allow for better compression results--but even that doesn't seem to do the trick.
