View Full Version : Swapped MOBOs now I dont see a vid preview with XMedia Recode.

Title says is all. I use XMedia Recode constantly and just switched to an ASUS A8V-VM SE motherboard with integrated video and cannot get a video preview anymore. Before I buy a video card, does anyone have any other ideas what can be causing this? Thanks.

What motherboard did you used to have? This is really a hardware and software question, not an H.264 specific question... I've moved it for you.

the prior mobo was an MSI. Is it possible for xmedia recode to not work with this new motherboard using the integrated video?

I doubt it, unless xmedia recode uses CUDA and your old motherboard had an integrated nVidia GPU.

As far as that goes I have no idea. I have used Xmedia on many PCs and never had this issue. The PC thats giving me trouble I have formatted and reinstalled Windows 3 or 4 times and used the same disc on two other computers and didnt have the problem. It has to be hardware related IMO.
