Simple question - can BD-Rebuilder convert a BR to a normal SD DVD disc?

Great! Can't find the option though - doesn't seem to be listed under output options?

Look under Mode, select Movie-Only Backup, Alternate Movie-Only Output. :)

Found it! Thanks. I see theres not much in the way of options (2-pass etc). What settings are used?
Also, is it safe to do a 'live' decrypt with AnyDVD to save ripping?

Also, is it safe to do a 'live' decrypt with AnyDVD to save ripping? It will do 2 pass encoding using HC Encoder by default. The only additional adjustments are in deciding:
1. NTSC or PAL (SETUP dialog)
2. DVD-5 or DVD-9 (alternate list)
3. ALTERNATE PAL output (see HIDDENOPTS.TXT)
4. HC_PROFILE (see HIDDENOPTS.TXT)
5. HC_ONEPASS (see HIDDENOPTS.TXT)

Thanks jdobbs. Unfortunately its not working for me. It gets so far then I get an error "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way." - I think its HC crashing. Tried ripping the BR with DVDFab and running decryption live with AnyDVD (using Win 7 64bit)

In my experience it's always best to rip to HD first. Reading input from a slow source can create timing issues, buffer underflow etc., while waiting for more input. I'm not talking BDRB but just generally.
You don't want converters and muxers to have to wait for input if you can avoid it.

Why don't you just take DVDDab out of the equation. AnyDVD does everything you need. Running both just seems like you're throwing an unnecessary variable into the mix.

Sorry, I wasn't running both at the same time - I tried one which failed, then tried the other which also failed.

Sorry, I wasn't running both at the same time - I tried one which failed, then tried the other which also failed. Hmm... While I've had a couple of reports of sync issues, no one has reported problems running it.
I say uninstall, reinstall, and try again -- making sure you use only the versions of everything linked in the first post of the bug thread.
