Better deinterlacing

Is there a better quality deinterlacing method, than standard Yadif() ?
I've compared side by side the picture with and without it and the picture with it more lacks details...

yadifmod+nnedi3 i'm just experimenting with myself, simple to setup, but image seems slightly smoothed at times.

haven't seen any comparisons of the two, are there any major differences?
