Hi again
I stumbled over this article:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARccOS_Protection
where a tool like ddrescue is mentioned do anyone have any experience with this tool?

install wine and use dvdfab decrypter
Would it be working?
I guess, all features of dvdfab will be killed by emulation interlayer

My personal experience in Linux is that dvdfab decrypter works fine and there is also the ddrescue method described here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=157519).

works fine here, rip a disc and then grab a small vob, a menu or something, convert it then see what the output is like, should be fine

I use makemkv. I can't say if it will work for gentoo but it sets up easy with Ubuntu. It only rips movies only but works on every DVD and blu-ray I've tried it on.

Hi again I found out that I can play the DVD with VLC and when the final title starts you just check in VLC which title it plays and this is the title to rip it even worked with my version of 2012 which is a Danish version. Then I just tell Handbreake which Title to rip. I have not tried it with K9 copy or other DVD ripping tools.
