Hello, is there a tool that can extract teletext track from saved DVB stream? Mainly I'd like to get a "hidden" subtitles @p.888 and convert them into a known subtitles format idx/sub or srt.
Anyway I'd like to know how to use Teletext stream in saved stream (.TS)

Yes there is and its name is ProjectX.
It allows you to extract all types of stream from a .ts container - video, audio, dvb subtitles, teletext subtitles etc.

I use ProjectX within StaxRip but it only extracts audio and video, can I instruct it somehow to handle txt as well?
Maybe the TXT track is stripped by Womble MPEG Wizard, raw stream has it.

I'm not sure what projectx version is included in staxrip or whether it is possible to use it to extract teletext streams.

I'm writing about standalone version of projectx which has this option and I've used it quite often to extract teletext subtitles.

They are converted on the go to the .srt or some other format which you can specify in the settings.

These are my settings:

This is very helpful! I want to try that out! For extracting files, right? Thanks for sharing!

Yes, this is only for extracting (demuxing).

If you need to cut out commercials and keep the subtitles in sync with the video, you will have to do your cutting with projectx.

I use ProjectX for this. To get the subtitles synched with audio I also need to select the option "recreate TTX PTS from 1 st MpgAudio stream" shown in the screenshot above.

The ProjectX on www.doom9.org main page is a quite outdated ver$.
New version ProjectX update 27 Mar 2011, v0.91.0
Includes pre-complied jar file.
You will need runtime Java installed.
see here:-
EDIT:- Changed bad link:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/project-x/

Also if problems with TTX, there is a couple of items in the FORUMS/HELP
menu on that subject.
