Hello,

I make HD recordings in 1920 x 1080 with my Sat.
After that I load it into DGAVCIndex and cut the part before and after the program that I want gone.

Then I load it into Staxrip to encode this to a 1280 x 720 mkv file with x264.

But when this is done I have some problems with the audio at the parts where a commercial was and at the end.
When we have program > commercial > program, until the part before the commercial the audio is fine.

The commercial has been cut out but a hear a few ms of the commercial in the program part.
So I miss a few ms of the audio of the real program because this is the audio of the commercial.
After those few ms I hear the correct audio of the program and it is sync.

I also notice that when I demux the original recording file with DGAVCIndex I get an audio file. And something like this is in the name: DELAY -754ms
That is a huge delay, and I only have this problem with recording that came from a SAT, recordings that came from DVB-C I have a delay of max -200ms and that is fine.

So does somebody know how I can fix this?

Well, try tsdoctor and/or smartcutter then keep the file as it was ie 1920x1080 (1088). This way I have no problems.
PS: I'm just curious why people are so keen in downconverting HDTV (I assume they paid for HD premium content). On the other hand just type 720p in google ;)
