Just a quick thing about chapter. In mt2s world (aka blueray format) where are chapters ?

a: Chapters are 'encoded' in each files m2ts one by one ?

b: Chapter are somewhere in another file(s) (somewhere linked in the others files which make the blueray disc from authoring tool)

Thx in adv,

Max

Conclusion : m2ts files are completly independant ?No - Because, if as you were told, the chapter information is included in the .MPLS files (NOT M2TS) that are found in the "Playlist" directory of a full Blu-ray BDMV "package", then the .M2TS files are not "completely independent"...

There is a place in the specification for chapter titles. But they are optional and never populated as far as I've seen so far. If they included this on the disc, it would be in BDMV/META/TN/tnmt_<lang code>_xxxxx.xml
