View Full Version : VMware video recording problems

VMware omits frames that are the same, even if you tell it not to. In my case, the .avi it produced for me for what I recorded is ~22 minutes long of 1770 frames -- it renders the full 22 minutes properly under SMPlayer.

When I pass it through MeGUI, generate avs/index, and encode to MP4 with x264... the video is only like 1:17 minutes long and goes through every frame at normal pace.

(That means that the .avi VMware made stores time delays for each frame.)

What can I do to fix this? I cannot upload these to YouTube because of VMware's retardedness for how videos are recorded.

Here is the original recording for the 22 minute one. I used avimux to add the audio commentary. Then I used the one with audio commentary and split that into YouTube-compatible lengths (14:59 minutes max).

Here is all three videos (or parts) in a RAR. Extracted it is about 1.16GB, compressed ~300MB. These have not been passed through MeGUI/x264/other.

These are the ones I want to upload to YouTube, but I cannot because YouTube will not read or interpret these correctly, which means I have to encode them properly from VMware's work.
