low bitrate but high quality?

is there any filter or plugin which i used to encode video's to compress bitrate without quality loss??


without starvation or artefacts in encoded video??

Increasing compression will always have an affect on "quality" ;)

The question is, how much of an affect are you willing to suffer :P

My list of filters for increased compression (but at the cost of "quality") in order of least to most compression (and least to most quality loss) are:
RemoveGrain(mode=1), RemoveGrain(mode=17), RemoveGrain(mode=4), single iteration MDegrain(), MCTemporalDenoise(settings="low"), dfttest(), FFT3DFilter(), double iteration MDegrain, MCTemporalDenoise(settings="medium"), triple iteration MDegrain ...

I am sure there are plenty of other denoisers out there that others use of varying degrees of affectiveness on compression too :P

A little more details would be helpful ; source type , what are you trying to encode into , what you yourself consider acceptable quality loss , what bitrate range do you mean by 'low bitrate' for what resolution and content type - and how is this different from your few other threads asking for the same thing ?

In the case you haven't found out, yet.

This is not the kind of forum that endorses illegal downloads/uploads for sharing, it helps the legal buyer to protect his/her investment by providing him/her with the necessary knowledge to backup the discs for personal use. You may ask your "competitors" how they shrink a Blu-ray to 300MB, providing it with a personal logo, while" keeping the quality", but not here.

That same rule also says you can't interpret the rules. I had already thought about his post and agreed that Ghitulescu was right that pio-fawad was skating on thin ice so-to-speak, but decided to let both his post and the thread remain as-is. Which isn't to say another moderator won't come along, see things differently, close the thread, and issue strikes. But I hope not.

Well, it's a valid question so I'll take a crack at it. First, we don't have to be positive it's illegal. If it's downloaded, almost by definition it shouldn't be discussed. Here, read this announcement posted in the Newbie Forum:

Second, he's trying to squeeze the size of an MKV. Do you know of any retail releases in MKV? Do you think this is a source he bought and paid for? Third, he works with Indian movies, not home movies, not TV captures. Sure, it could have been downloaded from a public domain source. But it wasn't. And we don't care anyway as it's not our job to differentiate between copyrighted sources and freely available sources. It just caused too many headaches for us in the past.

I think I just made the case for closing the thread. :)
