Hi
I'm having a Nvidia 9400GT graphics card which i would like to connect to my Sony Bravia TV. My TV has has HDMI and VGA ports but not a DVI port. In my graphics card manual it says HDMI connection is possible "Via Adapter". I do have a DVI to HDMI Adapter which i'm using to connect my graphics card to my PC monitor. So if i want to connect my graphics card to TV, then how should i do it? If i get an HDMI cable will it do the job? Because the "via adapter" HDMI connection somewhat confuses me.

Connect to your TV in the same way as you connect to your monitor. Be aware there will be white noise via HDMI cable. Unless your TV has an option to use sound from analog input under HDMI, which I am afraid Sony doesn't provide, you have to mute your TV's speaker.

Thanks for the quick reply
Well i have a DVI cable for my monitor which i plug into the DVI-HDMI adapter connected to my graphics card. But since my TV does not have DVI port, how should i connect it then?

I'm a little confused. The 9400GT has VGA and DVI (and s-video) output.
If , as you say, you have a DVI-HDMI adapter connected to it, that would mean that you'd have to have a HDMI cable going from it to your PC monitor, which in turn would have to have a HDMI connector built-in (or a HDMI-DVI adapter). But then you say you have a DVI cable between the monitor and the DVI-HDMI adapter.
Does your PC monitor have a HDMI or DVI connector (+VGA) ?
Either you need a HDMI cable , or a HDMI-DVI adapter which you'd plug in to the TV, then use the existing DVI cable.
If you want the PC outputting (different*) video to both the monitor and the TV at the same time, then you need to use VGA for one or the other.
* same (clone) picture would be possible with a (powered) HDMI splitter.
