Very old sticky

Why keep very old sticky threads like DVD2AVI, DivX 3.1, Besweet, etc?
Is somebody using them today?

Good point - OTOH, there are few threads in several sections that could be promoted to stickies instead of these.

@Doom9: I did one recently (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1484818#post1484818) and one other poster seconded my idea but mods seem to not like my idea :(

I like the older sticky threads. It preserves the history of the Doom9 forum.

If it is decided to remove them, it would be great to create a "Time Capsule" section at the bottom of the forum where they could be preserved.
