how can i return the left half of the screen the unproceesed a source and the right b the processed one, for comparion in avisynth?

Two quick ways come to mind:

1) AvSPmod, drag & drop M2TS into one tab, drag & drop MKV into 2nd tab, preview both tabs & flip back and forth between tabs for differences ...

2) Avisynth script below, open with a media player that has pause & frame by frame (POTPlayer, The KMPlayer, MPC-HC, etc), compare by moving from frame to frame ...

Another way to visually compare 2 clips :-
place these functions at the bottom of your script, and then call one of them after your filtering, eg

comparisonBox4(a,"before",b,"after")

or maybe

comparisonBox4(a,"before",b,"after") ++ comparisonBox4(b,"after",a,"before")
