View Full Version : DVD Rebuilder to DVD-9

I am trying to build a dual layer dvd that I ripped using AnyDVD. However, when I open with DVD rebuilder it tries to encode to a DVD-5 (52% reduction in size). How can I switch it to build then burn to a DVD-9?

Sorry for the newbie question, but at least (I think) I am in the right forum.

Thanks

Don't use DVD-Rebuilder at all, it is only needed to shrink DVDs (DVD9->DVD5). Just use imgburn (or your favorite burning program) to burn the files/iso you ripped.

Probably a bad burn as a result of either a bad DVD or combination of DVD and burner. Try again, maybe using a different DVD brand, your other burner or a lower writing speed.

Write Speed: 8x <- Definitely your problem. As a general rule, I never write at the fastest speed. This is especially true for dual layer discs. Try again at 4x.
