just watched these two lectures, and I'm blown away. To my layman eyes it seems as it might be a major step forward to the image processing field.
Lecture One: HTM - Subutai Ahmad (Fora.TV) (http://fora.tv/2009/09/09/Hierarchical_Temporal_Memory_Subutai_Ahmad#fullprogram). Some examples are on chapters 8 and 9.
Lecture Two: HTM - Jeff Hawkins (Youtube). (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDzr0_fbnVk)
Wikipedia Entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hierarchical_temporal_memory)
Here is their website, Numenta (http://www.numenta.com/), where it's possible to download their software and experiment with it. It also have a developers community.
What are you experts think?
