when I encode with CCE it produces a mpv and a.wav audio file, what program is quite easy to use that can mux them into a playalbe mpeg2 file? So far I cant find any. I cant see the point of CCE if it produces files you cant then use apart from on your pc. I need to put the audio back with the video to be able to play it on my t.v. via my WDTV player

If you want a DVD and both are DVD compliant, use Muxman. If you want an MPG, use ImagoMPEG-Muxer (except I don't think it takes WAV files, so convert to AC3, or MP2):

http://www.videohelp.com/tools/ImagoMPEG-Muxer

Both are free.

Thanks for the reply, I dont want a dvd just an mpg file that contains the audio. I searched the net and found someone who had tried lots of progs and he said imago often didnt work but Womble dvd did however that is not free. I will try imago and report back. thanks.

Have a look at the tools section on Videohelp (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/sections/video-de-multiplexers). There are a bunch of free multiplexers.

Thanks the imago utility works fine, I made a test mpg and also a test segmented .vob and they both play fine with sound. Nice, small and VERY easy program to use. :thanks:

strange that someone can make an easy to use free app. and the makers of CCE couldnt manage to give you the option of muxing the files for you.

You can do that in CCE too, simply checks MPEG2 System rather than Elementary and the output will be .MPG with audio.

Hi!

The following thread (as well as the observation by "mp3dom" in this thread) seems to indicate that you don't have a full understanding of the more basic capabilities of CCE...
