Hey all. Got an issue here. I've spent a couple days trying to figure out what the problem is, but having no luck. Deal is, when playing any 1080p vids from my blu-ray collection, even from the discs, in VLC, there are very quick horizontal flickers throughout the video in what seems to be either fast, bright scenes or low light scenes. This doesn't happen with any DVD's. However, it does occur when watching Netflix streaming video as well, which is the real kicker for me.

Video looks fine in MPC-HC

System is Windows 7 running on a 2600k with 8GB PC3 16000 RAM. Video is a 1GB Radeon 4650 with updated drivers running HDMI out to my TV. Main HDD is 10k raptor. I have installed ffdshow, haali media splitter and spdifer.

Any thoughts are appreciated. Let me know if you need more info. :thanks:

I don't think there's much VLC users here. If you got no answer, try the official VLC forum.

You could post a screenshot of the issue, but as you said it already works fine in MPC-HC.

No one here uses VLC and I'm pretty sure specifically look at these threads aren't a fan of Netflix's player anyways.

I use the PC for netflix, not a player. I could just add to queue and play through PS3, but would rather just have the option to not have choppy vid through the browser.

Either way, any thoughts? or should I just start trying to swap hardware and cables out now to see if thats the issue.
