Q. re eac3to reported delay

I used eac3to 3.24 to transcode 00000 - 4 - TrueHD+AC3, English, 5.1 channels, 48kHz DELAY 83ms.thd+ac3 to a 384 kbps AC3.

Has the 83 ms delay been removed? Says nothing to that effect in the eac3to log.

Not for TrueHD, no, which is why the delay is written to the filename.

If you're transcoding then do it straight from the source (rather than demuxing the track first). Then eac3to will apply the delay as it decodes to PCM.
