Direct Mux from Bluray Playlist to MKV?

Is there any program that works like TSMuxer (joining playlists) but mux directly into MKV? Those .264 and .wav/dts files are so huge that my harddisk is dying. Decryption is not needed.

Do they not require a full demux before going to MKV? I thought that at least MakeMKV needs a temp folder to store the demuxed tracks before muxing them into the new container.

I never thought of that. It makes sense though. I've never used MakeMKV myself.
Maybe the OP would benefit from a second hard drive? Or a couple of RAID volumes if he does a lot of ripping. One to read the ripped streams, the other to write the MKV.

Hi!

Please clarify:

1) Are you also COMPRESSING the Blu-ray files, or merely placing them (in their original sizes) into .MKV containers?

2) Is your concern hard drive space temporarily required while processing, or the space required to permanently retain the .MKVs on your hard drive? Virtually every program used for such conversions requires hard drive space equal to two or three times the original filesize(s) during processing.

3) "multiAVCHD" is another tool that can place Blu-ray files into .MKV containers - and can compress them (something "MakeMKV" can NOT do) during the same process.

I am not compressing. Just remuxing from m2ts to mkv, without producing temporary files.

eac3to is almost working... but it excludes short playlists such as trailers. Can I force it listing those playlists also?

MakeMKV rocks as it does not need a temp folder like e.g. Clown_BD does.

You're ripping to ISO and then ripping the ISO to MKV?

@ChiDragon, I am still experimenting with everything and do not want to stress my new BD drive, so I make an ISO image on harddisk first.

@setarip_old, no mounting? I will try. ^_^ But MakeMKV seems to be hiding those short trailer playlists too.
