DVD Players

I have been using DvdFab, DVD Shrink for years. Lately when I make a backup of a movie it plays on some of our dvd players and sometimes not on the others. Any idea what could be the problem? Thanks, Judy

Hi!

Perhaps some of your DVD p[layers would benefit from running a DVD/CD cleaning disc on them. Maxell makes one that sells for about $10US...

Another possibility is that some of your players "don't like" the manufacturer of some of your media.

The third one being some copy protections that DVDS can cope with but your player doesn't (one of them being tiny cells with "infinite life" which normally are not played on the original).

I think too then it might be my dvd players. I have two new ones and some movies wont play on them but yet they play on my old ones.

Old (how old? :)) players had a real video optical pickup, the newer ones have instead a regular DVD-ROM (mostly from DVS for noname players).
