Nero - Communication Failure

i need help...everytime i try to use my dvdwriter the pioneer a03..to burn a dvd i get communication failure...it works fine when i burn cdr's...but when i go to burn dvd's i get that error...can someone help me with this...i dont know what to do

I had the same problem when I bought my Pionner and after many tests I solved this problem by enabling DMA mode in BIOS for this drive.

i am using windows xp..isnt the ultra dma already enabled in xp

i had the same problem, then i turned off DMA mode (in XP), and now it works like a charm.
