The underlying data is a file copy of a mini DVD-R, recorded in SD mode by a Sony HDR-UX7 camcorder.

I can't pull out that information from the copied files. When putting the DVD-R back into the camcorder, the camcorder is able to list date and time data scene-wise from the mini DVD-R.

The copied folder structure is as follows:
DCIM (empty folder)
VIDEO_RM
VIDEO_RM.BUP
VIDEO_RM.DAT
VIDEO_RM.IFO
VIDEO_TS
VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VIDEO_TS.VOB
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_2.VOB
SystemAllocatedSpace (empty file)

Thank you.

Sony camcorders use SUB-T Date (subtitle date) to store time codes. You could try to extract the subtitles or use a tool like DVDSubEdit.

Google Sony camcorder SUB-T for more information.

You could also simply rightclick on the .VOB and select "Properties"...
