splitting avi's with VBR mp3 audio.

I have a divx of dude wheres my car (original filename : "Dude.Wheres.My.Car.DVDRip.DivX-DOMiNiON.avi") and the file size is 706MB with 115kb vbr audio. I tried using virtual dub to cut out the credits and the final file resulted in a out of synch audio. I also tried AviChop.exe but it resulted in not including the audio at all. Does anyone know a way to cut out like 7MB of a 706MB avi file with vbr audio? Thank You.
