The most common format for backup DVD - DVDRip - 700 MB is the Divx.AVI. The picture quality is good, but there are much better. Since the arrival of the x264, Divx 700 MB is exceeded. Therefore it may be replaced by the x264, for the image, and the LC-AAC 96K for audio.

Currently, the best format for DVDRip and BDRip 700 MB,
is the MKV x264 / LC-AAC 96k.

Welcome to years ago! And do you really still rip all your DVDs to a 700MB file?

Maybe he's still waiting for his CD burner to die before buying a DVD or BR burner? ;)

I think your time machine malfunctioned and you're stuck at about t - 10 years.

The picture quality is good

If watched on a 3 inch phone display, maybe.

700 MB

What's the obsession with that number? Oh, wait, I forgot about the faulty time machine...

96K AAC? 128k is much more reasonable, and even then quality based AAC encoding is much more efficient. Little bitrate on low comlexity audio scenes, and provides the bits when needs in high complexity scenes (say, quality of 0.4)

Really odd posting style. Reminds me of those spam posts where the author blabs about a subject at random and just toss a link to a product/service at the end :D
