Ok, from what I can understand, MKV is equal to or superior to MP4 in all but one thing and that's device support. And I have a couple of devices that does not support MKV files, a ZuneHD and a WP7.
So I'm looking for an easy way to move some of my content from MKVs to MP4s.
But what exactly are the limitations of MP4 compared to MKV? From what I've read before it only supports a limited number of audiotracks and subtitles. Is that the only limitations and what is it limited to? Can a MP4 file contain any kind of audio from Mono to DTSHD/TrueHD?
From what I read StaxRip can do what I'm looking for. A simple remuxing without messing with encoding the content correct?
