I'm using the most recent 64-bit version of MPC-HC and trying to save thumbnails, but the option is always grayed out.
I tried changing my Output options to various things, specifically VMR-7 with DirectX 7, but I'm having no luck whatsoever.
Any suggestions? Thank you.

If you under XP (x64?) use VMR9r. Under win7 use EVR CP.

Is it actually greyed out?

Using Windows 7 64-bit. Lemme try what you suggested and get back with you.

Tried selecting EVR Custom Pres., but no luck. What should I select for RealMedia Video and QuickTime Video, or does it not matter? Are there other options I need to set/change?
Basically, I can select and use the Save Image option (although the images are a bit distorted), but the Save Thumbnails option is completely grayed out and unselectable, no matter what. Weird.

HartleySan, are you using MPC-HC x64 1.5.0.2827 ? Also, what kind of video is it? Is it the same for all types of video files?
What appears in the menu, Play-> Filters, when you have that video open?

@HartleySan
maybe you should try output :System Default or EVR (not EVR CP)

Yes, it is 1.5.0.2827 in Windows 7 64-bit. The video is a DVD file (i.e., IFO and VOB files). Basically, a standard DVD. I haven't tested it with other types of video files. Maybe I should.
When I have the video open, I have the following under Play -> Filters:
Default DirectSound Device
Enhanced Video Renderer (custom presenter)
Audio Switcher
MPEG-2 Video Decoder
AC3 Audio Decoder
DVD Navigator
Sorry, but that's all I can tell ya. Been busy lately, but lemme experiment a bit and get back with you all. Thanks again for the help.

While very late, I just wanted to provide an update. Basically, I was able to get a screenshot/thumbnails like I wanted by simply using Window 7's print screen function. When I did that some time back, I remember it just giving me a black screen, but I guess it works now, so problem solved.
