You have to wait a little for the auto-resize button to appear.
Gknot does not have an auto-splitting function (yet).
You can use an Avi-Split-Calc (you can find it in the Divx4 section of the forum) and use it (you must have a Nandub too). Just give it the desired size of the split-point and it will look for a keyframe and automatically start-up Nandub and cut it for you (if you set everyhting right).

take care

The autoresize button will only appear if you have the preview window open...

To split your File, startup NanDub (included in the GKnot Package), then follow this Guide:
Slitting Avi's (http://www.doom9.org/virtualdub_procedures.htm#Splitting)

Greetings,
Duplex

one more thing: this guide is part of the GKnotGuide on doom9.org,so ether you did not read this Guide at all or not carefull enough ;)
Check it out for yourself

i saw the guide about the virtulDub about the splitting
i have to test run it first but i belive it will work
thank you all for the helping hand
but in regarding the auto resize in the guide it is suppose to
appear with the preview open and before the first pass
and it doesnt ,so i use the smartcrop instead ;
could this be the fault for the button not appearing ?
again thanks to all the helpers out there
