my parents have about 16 computers at their office and so i use them for ripping. anyways, this regular, store bought 1 ghz computer (the first one bought) ripped a dvd in about 5 mins for 2 or 3 discs. This was using clad or some other ripper. Nowadays, it cant rip faster than 2.0 and it should be able to by all means...dma is turned on. THe thing is that with dma turned on, smartripper will make win98 crash and i have to restart. i've made well over 100 svcd's and i just accepted the 40 minute ripping process but its a pain if it can be fixed...any help out there?
