Deinterlacing ussues

I'm currently trying to deinterlace a music live DVD but all attempts so far resulted in very jerky motion. It seems like a few frames from each second are "bad" and make the video stutter.
MeGUI recommended Yadif(order=1) and I also tried QTGMC()
SelectEven() but both resulted in the same problem.

Is this some messed up NTSC to PAL conversion?

Yes, it's NTSC to PAL:

Yadif(Mode=1)#or the bobber of your choice
SRestore()

Yes, that did the trick. Now I have a smooth 24/1,001 fps video.
