Ive been using AutoGK for ahwile now with great results. Recently while using the program I got a VirtualDub error that reads
"An MMX instruction not supported by the CPU was executed in module 'xvidcore'..."
I attached a screenshot of the error.
The cpu is an AMD 4800+ X2 and fully supports MMX. I have tried reinstalling AutoGK and all codecs. Also tried ripping the vob file from a different DVD-ROM drive. I get this error on every vob file I try to convert. Anyone have any idea what the problem might be?

It is pretty obvious your xvid installation is messed up.
Did you install any codec packs?
Uninstall Xvid. Search for leftovers on your HDs.
Clean the registry.
And finally install the Xvid version that comes with the AutoGk installer.
And why are you referring to Virtualdub?
AutoGK is using Virtualdubmod.
Dont mess around with exchanging the used programs.
This will lead into trouble.
I guess this is on WinXP?

I may have installed some other codecs, but I do not know what specific one(s). I tried uninstalling xvid and reinstalling it and still get the error. Going to device manager and clicking on audio, video devices or whatever it reads and then video codecs. I can delete them there but as soon as i close and reopen device manager they are all back. Im refering to virtualdub because thats what the error reads. I have not messed with any programs at all, the error reads virtualdub. If you would have looked at the attached screenshot of the error you would know this. Yes it is WinXP.

The attached screenshot does not show at my first reading your post.
And yes, VirtualdubMod throws the same error messages as genuine Virtualdub, caus it's just a clone(mod).
As far as I can see the error is happening at frame 15157.
Does it always errors out at the same frame?
If this happens randomly at different frames it might be bad ram/overheating/overclocking.
If it happens at the same positions your sources are burked
and you should consider another ripping chain/another DVD Reader/Ripper.

The system is overclocked and I have recently moved it into a tighter area (less cool airflow). Ill move it and/or lower the OC some and see if that helps.

Nice attitude.
If you'd not taken three days to return to your own thread you'd have known it took three days for the mods to approve your attachment and therefore for anyone to be able to see it.
