View Full Version : HD-DVD Stutterfree Playback over 360?

I've been to no fewer than 7 other forums and finally was told to ask here since no one else could answer. I have a small <50 collection of HD-DVD that I would like to rip to my HTPC for playback over the 360 as an extender. I'm very new when it comes to encoding/decoding but am learning as I go.
From what I understand I need to get it to a wmv format as it's the only one that can support 15mbs bit stream rate.
I'd like ability to FF/RW and at least 720quality if possible. Please ask me any other questions as I am sure I left something else out. I would be using a 360 HD DVD drive to rip the dvds. Thank you.

Hi!

I ripped with MakeMKV and while it worked flawlessly for the rip. I was left with two problems.
1)Extreme stuttering during playback over the 360.
2)No FF/RW
Here is the info for the last one I ripped:

Ok I need to take an E-AC3 file or random bit rates to a AC3 448kbps bit rate of random bit rates or not. I tried using clown BD but to no avail.
Here is the error log it spit out.

Picked up another 360 HD Player for ripping, can someone please come up with a guide to make this possible?
