Hi people,
I have Win7 64 bit machine with standard windows DV decoder on which i installed Mainconcept DV decoder, which worked fine. Changed merit for mainconcept dv decoder to preferred and everything was just fine.
Then i installed something that was supposed to be 64 bit Mainconcept codec, but turned out to be something else. When i uninstalled the thing i can not get the mainconcept dv decoder to work any more.
I uninstalled/reinstalled mainconcept dv codec, but no help. Stupid, stupid me did not made restore point before installing the wrong thing and have nothing to roll back.
When i attempt to to render the graph in the Gspot (using GSpot proposed codec solution) I get the error 'can not connect output pin on source (AVI file) to input pin on AVI splitter". Same problem for graphs using MS codec and Mainconcept codec.
When MS DV codec has the priority then MS proposed codec solution in Gspot works (GSpot solution does not work).
I compared splitter and codec merits with the other pc and could not find any possible problem. Same graph renders sucessfully on other pc. Compared registered media types for codecs, but did not find problem either.
Can someone suggest of possible culprits and/or solutions?
Big bang solution is to reinstall Win7, but i am not mentally ready yet to reinstall everything.
