Using NanDub to convert .mpeg to .avi.........

How do you do this? I tried setting it up to copy the .mpeg and save it as an avi (direct stream copy). But it keeps saying that the video file is using some algorithm that isn't compatible with it. Also, is there any way to convert an asf to avi?

don't use direct steam.. it doesnt do anything to the video so i would probably say .mpeg ... use fast recompress

Okay, I tried fast recompress instead, but I still got the same error message:

"The source video stream uses a compression algorithm which is not compatible with AVI files."

Does this mean I'm outta luck? Thanks for the reply.

seems like it might be somthing wrong with your .mpeg file

Try "full processing mode"

MPEG is something completely different than an avi stream, so full processing is necessary to re-encode the mpeg into an avi stream.
